Think of it like a tradesman's jig. Nobody buys a jig because a jig is exciting. You buy it the tenth time you cut the same piece by hand, and by the twentieth it has paid for itself.
When paying for one is the wrong call
Most of what gets written about this is trying to sell you something. So here is the other half.
